Settings

The screens in this article are based on the iOS operating system. Android screens may differ slightly.

In Settings, you can change the default parameters of the application. 

Trading Settings

The trading may differ depending on the user's trading account (Net/Gross or Cash). Following are the settings that affect trading:

  • Trade mode: Enable the trade mode – a way of placing and changing orders in the Terminal: Simple or Advanced
  • Confirm trade requests: Show a confirmation dialogue when a new order is created.
  • Volumes in Lots: Show trade volumes in lots or money.
  • Stop levels: Select Stop levels display mode: Price, Points, Profit (available only for Margin Accounts – Gross).
  • Gross PL display mode: Select the currency to display Gross Profit/Loss: DepositSymbol Profit Currency (available only for Margin Accounts – Gross).
  • TP/SL: number of points before displaying a warning: The warning is triggered when the TP/SL order price differs from the current price by the specified number of points.
  • Order status pop-up: Show a pop-up message when the order status is changed.
  • Position status pop-up: Show a pop-up message when the position status is changed.
  • Show notification pop-up for event: Show pop-up event notifications. Select: All, Initiated by server, Initiated by device, and Initiated by any terminal
  • Max number of trades in the T&S: Maximum number of displayed trades in the T&S tape.
  • Vibrate on trade request: Enable vibration when tapping the trade buttons.
  • Vibrate on trade notification: Enable vibration for trade event notifications.
  • Sound on trade notification: Enable a sound notification on trade events. You can select a default or custom sound file.
  • Show symbol's logo: Display symbol's logo on the 'Market Watch', 'Charts' and 'Trade History' screens.
  • Show asset II logo for stock symbols: Show asset Ⅱ logo for stock symbols on the 'Market Watch', 'Chart' and 'Trade History' screens. The option is available only if the 'Show symbol's logo' setting is on.
  • Symbol name representation: Show a symbol ticker or its extended name.

L2 and Last trades Settings

These settings help adjust Level 2 parameters and manage Last Trades:

  • Show totals of Level 2: Show the total Bid/Ask volume and the VWAP Bid/Ask price in Level2 (On/Off).
  • Mark own Limit/TP orders in L2 with asterisks: Mark orders placed by the user with an asterisk in L2: green — Limit order, yellow — Iceberg Limit order, red — Hidden Limit order.
  • Show My Limit orders in L2Show the user's limit orders in Level 2.
  • Show volume of My Limit ordersShow the volumes of the limit orders in Level2. The option is available only if the 'Show My Limit Orders in L2' setting is on.
  • Level2 Histogram Type: The type of histogram in the Depth of Market: NoneAggregatedNon-aggregated. Aggregated histogram shows data aggregated by price and volume.
  • Level2 Histogram Alignment: Alignment of histogram in the Depth of Market: To Center or To Borders.
  • Max depth of Level2: The maximum number of levels in the Depth of Market. The default value is 5.
  • Max number of trades in the Last Trades: Maximum number of displayed trades in the Last Trades. The default value is 100.
  • Histogram in Last Trades: Show volume-based histogram in the Last Trades (Left/Right/None).
  • Show Last Trades symbols: Show Last Trades (On/Off).

Chart Settings

In Chart Settings, you can change the default chart settings that apply to all charts:

  • Periodicity: Set default chart periodicity (from 1 second to 1 month). Periodicity affects how often pricing information is refreshed on the chart.
  • Chart Type: Set default chart type: CandlestickBar ChartLine.
  • Default Chart values type: Price data plotted in the chart: Bid prices or Ask prices.
  • Chart scheme: Chart color scheme: Green and RedBlack on WhiteGreen on BlackCustom. If you select Custom, you can set the preferred color for each chart element.
  • Show OHLC: Show OHLC prices on the chart (On/Off).
  • Show L2 histogram: Show Level II histogram (On/Off).
  • Histogram Bar Thickness: The vertical size of the histogram bars.
  • Histogram Bar Size, %: The horizontal size of the histogram against the width of the chart in percent.
  • Show volumes: Show volumes on the chart: No volumesTick volumesTrade volumes.
  • Show period separators: Show period separators (On/Off).
  • Show grid: Show a chart grid (On/Off).
  • Show Bid line: Show Bid horizontal line (On/Off).
  • Show Ask line: Show Ask horizontal line (On/Off).
  • Show position lines: Show horizontal lines of positions on the chart (On/Off).
  • Show order lines: Show horizontal lines of orders on the chart (On/Off).
  • Show position SL/TP lines: Show horizontal lines of Stop Loss and Take Profit values (On/Off).
  • Show order SL/TP lines: Show horizontal lines of Stop Loss and Take Profit values for pending orders (On/Off).
  • Show line ID: Show IDs of horizontal lines on the chart (On/Off).

When you've finished, tap Apply to all to apply these settings to all charts.

Security Settings

A user can set and manage the application passcode and apply the screen auto-lock:

  • Set Passcode: Set a passcode to protect your app data. If the application passcode is set, the following options appear:
    • Passcode lock: Lock the application with a passcode if it is hidden for more than 1 minute.
    • Change Passcode: Change the app passcode code by entering and confirming the new one.
    • Delete Passcode: Delete the passcode code. Note that your login credentials will be removed from the device after having deleted the passcode
  • Screen auto-lock: Allow to automatically lock the device screen when the application is open.

Calendar and News Settings

This screen helps set the number of events in the economic calendar and select filters for incoming events:

  • Number of events in the Economic calendar: Set the number of incoming events.
  • Filter by country: Select the countries of incoming events.
  • Filter by currency: Select the currencies of incoming events.
  • Financial data Filter: Select the options by which all the incoming financial data will be displayed on the 'Financial data' screen: All, Favorites, Portfolio, Favorites & Portfolio.  

Misc Settings

This screen contains various application settings:

  • Language: Select the preferred application language.
  • Time Zone: Set the time zone of the application: Device time zoneServer time zoneUTCCustom.
  • Date and time format: Set the date and time format (device or Custom).
  • Change the start screen: Select the Start screen of the app.
  • Application theme: Select the application theme: Day themeNight themeAutomatic, Use system mode, and Low battery.

Push Notifications Settings

A user can enable/disable the option of getting push notifications created in the TickTrader Win terminal.

  • Get push notifications: Allow getting push notifications. You can create notifications in the TickTrader desktop terminal.
  • Event sounds: Select the sound on Trade notification.
  • Turn off push notifications for device: Unsubscribe the device from getting push notifications.
